{"id":112,"date":"2022-02-19T18:06:34","date_gmt":"2022-02-19T18:06:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1x-vision.net\/blog\/?p=112"},"modified":"2022-02-19T18:06:34","modified_gmt":"2022-02-19T18:06:34","slug":"my-blender-hotkeys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/1x-vision.net\/blog\/2022\/02\/19\/my-blender-hotkeys\/","title":{"rendered":"My Blender Hotkeys"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With Blender 2.8 <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.blender.org\/manual\/en\/latest\/interface\/keymap\/industry_compatible.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.blender.org\/manual\/en\/latest\/interface\/keymap\/industry_compatible.html\">the industry compatible keys<\/a> were introduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This (and the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.blender.org\/manual\/en\/latest\/render\/eevee\/introduction.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.blender.org\/manual\/en\/latest\/render\/eevee\/introduction.html\">EEVEE<\/a> renderer) are the main reason why I switched to Blender (after being a 3dsmax user for around 18 years).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the functions that I desperately need all the time were \/ are not covered by the standard hotkeys. So I assigned them myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The changes are as following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>c<\/strong>&#8221; &#8211; Select children (of the selected object(s))<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>&#8211;<\/strong>&#8221; align selected object to active object (similar to 3dsmax align)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>ctrl + shift + d<\/strong>&#8221; duplicate linked (3dsmax instance)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>g<\/strong>&#8221; activate \/ deactivate grid<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>F6<\/strong>&#8221; select shading mode<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>F7<\/strong>&#8221; toggle gizmo \/ origin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>x<\/strong>&#8221; toggle snapping<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are \/ were a 3dsmax user you might be able to relate. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to use these Hotkeys &#8211; you can download them here: <a href=\"http:\/\/1x-vision.net\/_share\/1x-Blender-config.zip\">http:\/\/1x-vision.net\/_share\/1x-Blender-config.zip<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With Blender 2.8 the industry compatible keys were introduced.
